Use to bleach natural timber to a lighter shade so it can then be stained to another wood shade, using Rustin’s Wood Dyes.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003ePreparation:\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eWill only work on bare wood. All varnish, lacquer or polish must be removed before applying the solutions. Old finishes are best removed with Rustin’s Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eRemove as much of the old finish as possible with a scraper, then damp the surface again with Strypit and rub with the grain with NO 1 or 2 steel wool. Wipe surface with clean rag and allow to dry.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eApplication:\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eApply solution A to clean, dry wood with a brush and leave for 10-20 minutes before applying solution B.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eSome woods will darken when solution A is applied. The actual bleaching takes place after application of solution B.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eCoats: one coat of solution A followed by a coat of solution B.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eDrying Time:\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eAfter application of solution B leave for a minimum of 2 hours.
